Version 4 Baby!

by Arik

So this isn’t the coolest design ever right now. Maybe thats because I’m using the default theme. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to switch to a full-blown self-hosted Wordpress install for a long long time. After doing a couple posts for friend’s blogs, I liked the tranquility of “publishing”.

Previous to this, atinypixel.com was strapped to a RadiantCMS install. Radiant is an extremely capable CMS and all purpose platform to develop on. However, blogging with Radiant wasn’t all that great. But I did enjoy using Radiant as it allowed the utmost design freedom and feature development.

The Road Ahead

Since I haven’t so much as even touch the backend of a wordpress install since version 1.2-5, I have a lot of learning to do. Essentially I’d like to keep the same tumblr-style approach to blogging, but in a more distributed way. It is still to be decided whether I want this fully at the root of atinypixel.com (as before) or at a subdomain like now.

At any rate, I’m really excited for the future of Tiny Pixel. It is bright and wide-eyed.
