This morning I saw a status update come across my twitter stream stating that there is a Wordpress for Blackberry app rolling around in beta. Its not just any BB app, its by the guys who built wordpress itself. So you know its quality.

Needless to say, I am posting this from my Blackberry 8300 and so far it’s really nice. It’s especially nice since my desktop internet connection is off until the 11th.

This means a lot for the web at large. Yes, its only one app on a single platform, but Blackberries are THE fastest growing smart phone platform right along side Apple and HTC (and Google). The web is becoming more and more accessible from mobile devices with every major hardware release. It only makes sense that site owners should be able to publish to the web from their mobile devices as well as view it’s contents.

All in all, a Wordpress app for the Blackberry app is exciting. I can’t wait to use the final version.
